Get Out: Weekend Events Preview June 17 -19

Explore a variety of events taking place in the area!

 

1. Embellish Crafts Camp

Where/When: Ric Rac Rabbit, 12651 Race Track Road, Tampa, FL 33626. Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Why Go: Girls aged 8 to 14 years old will enjoy working on fashion themed crafts. They will practice sewing, embroidery, and weaving. At the end of the camp there will be a flashy photo shoot to show off their unique designs.

2. Little Bundle Class

Where/When: My Gym Westchase, 9572 W Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33626. Friday, 1.30 p.m. - 2.15 p.m. 

Why Go: Toddlers aged 6 weeks to 6 months will begin their first encounter with visual, audial and spatial explorations at this Little Bundle class. There will be baby exercises, songs, dances, swings, and other family activities.

Price: Free

3. Mommy, Daddy and Me Dance Class

Where/When: Westchase Swim and Tennis Center, 10405 Countryway Blvd., Tampa, FL 33626. Saturday, 9:30 a.m. 

Why Go: Bring your children aged 2 to 3 years old for a chance to explore body movements and expressions.

Price: $112 for 14-week session 

4. Aston Gardens Second Annual Summer Arts Festival

Where/When: 12951 W Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33626. Saturday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Why Go: Come out and enjoy a brunch buffet, art, live entertainment, psychic readings and door prizes. Proceeds from this event will go to supporting The Life Enrichment Center.

Price: $10 donation 

5. Danz Americas Project Presents a Summer Performance at USF

Where/When: 4202 E Fowler Ave., (Theatre 1 - USF), Tampa, FL 33620. Saturday 5:30 p.m. *

Why Go: Come experience a modern dance performance to help promote contemporary dance and raise scholarship money for young dancers who wish to pursue their professional aspirations in the performing arts world.

Price: $20 tickets can be purchased at America's Ballet School, 15365 Amberly Dr., Tampa, FL 33647. For more information, call 813-558-0800.
