With a motto "Saving the Earth, One Pizza at a Time," Pizza Fusion  officially opened its doors to the public yesterday. The restaurant, located at 9556 W. Linebaugh Ave., in the Westchase Town Center features all natural, organic, hormone-free and gluten free ingredients.

Pizza menu items include spinach and artichoke and four cheeses with sun-dried tomatoes.

Greeting lunch diners at the door Monday were hostesses Brianna Grass and Chelsea Acker. Manager Rich Richeson was happy to introduce the Westchase community to the healthful menu and commitment to sustainability that the Pizza Fusion chain is known for.

Based in Ft. Lauderdale, there are Pizza Fusion locations in seven states, including Virginia and Pennsylvania. The chain is also located in Saudi Arabia, according to the company's website.

Each restaurant practices green initiatives including recycling, energy and water conservation. Signature pizzas and salads are the mainstay of the menu. A beer and wine bar will open soon at the Westchase location, Richeson said.

Pizza Fusion will be open Sunday - Thursday 11:00am-11:00pm, and Friday - Saturday 11:00am-midnight.
