Nominations Wanted: USF Women’s Group Leadership Awards

The Women in Leadership & Philanthropy organization is looking for this year's Community Leadership Award winner.

 

Westchase, do you know a woman who deserves to be recognized for her work and civic duty?

The USF Women in Leadership & Philanthropy (WLP) organization is now accepting nominations for the 2012 WLP Community Leadership Award. This award is given to reward a visionary leader and philanthropist doing extraordinary things to make Tampa Bay a better place for women to live and to work.

Nomination forms must be submitted by July 20. Self-nominations are not permitted.

Karen Dalton, president and co-founder of the Miles for Foundation and chairwoman for the WLP program, said the award is designed to both reward ongoing achievement and to create the incentive for greater success in the future.

“With the Community Leadership Award, we showcase individual excellence in leadership as demonstrated by outstanding initiative, impact of work, and inspiration to others,” said Dalton. “We try to encourage further work on the part of the recipients, and hope to motivate others to follow their lead in service to the Tampa Bay communities.”
