Obama Holds Narrow Lead in Florida, Poll Says

Public Policy Polling gives President Barack Obama 48 percent over Mitt Romney's 47 percent.

Public Policy Polling's latest presidential poll in Florida, done after the Republican convention, finds no change in the Presidential race there.

"Barack Obama leads Mitt Romney 48-47, exactly as he did on our last poll of the state five weeks ago.

"The Republican convention ... appears to have been a wash. 33% of voters say it made them more likely to vote for Republicans, 33% said it made them less likely to vote for Republicans, and 34% said it didn't make a difference to them either way."

Charlie Crist to Speak Today at the DNC

Thursday's program begins at 4 p.m. and will include performances by James Taylor, Foo Fighters, Mary J. Blige and Earth, Wind and Fire, as well as speeches by Crist, Caroline Kennedy, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Sen. John Kerry, and actress Eva Longoria.

There is no way that Obama is leading in Florida. If he is, then these people don't care about what he is doing to this country. His tactic is to divide and conquer. It is working pretty well from what I see. With all his communist upbringing, friends, teachers, mentors and family I now understand what he plans for America.
Good bye Israel and hello Chavez, Castro, Iran.

Sir .... When an individual disagrees with you does that reflexively position the individual for lines of scorn, baiting and sarcasm. I suppose you would reject out of hand the words of, I believe, Voltaire - "I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I care,

I think the polls will truly show when the debates start. I honestly can't see Oboma winning re-election with the polls this close already.

Proof....what IS in the pudding you have been taking? Certainly not a source of facts. Course you don't want to let facts get in the way of your beliefs anyway. It's so much more fun to live in that alternative universe of myth and hearsay where you can make up your opinions with no regard for accuracy. What super truth about Obama's upbringing do you have, that no one else has, in the world of reality in which some of us choose to live. The truth is, Osama is dead and GM is alive. The one man instrumental in both was a communist. Really!

Sahara, I hate to bring the bad news to youbut the king didn't kill bin Laden our Navy Seals did! The king didn't save GM, the American taxpayer has and we're still paying for it as well as paying for how many Solyndras, paying for government run healthcare, paying for new departments created in the Federal government for a 'fincial protection bureau' among several others. That's the entire basis of his economic plan-get as many people on the government dole as he can. That's not how America is meant to be. Look at the core of his speech, instead of invoking greats like Kennedy ("ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"), he goes the direction of Carter, Modale, Dukakis, Hugo Chavez.
As for the proof in tbe king's upbringing, I know the NY Times and Washington Post won't report it, nor will the 3 major networks or such fairand balanced sources as MSNBC or CNBC but the man even wrote in his book about a mentor of his though be failed to mention this mentor was a devout communist. You'll find many facts about the king if you open your eyes and ears and avoid the ramblings of the idol worshipers.

Tony: There you go again calling President Obama "King" and raggin' on being a communist The largest communist organization is the Catholic Church. Maybe you mean "Socialist.". Like some of our strongest friends who use "socialistic" principles as England or Canada or several of the more advanced nations like the USA using social security. These are not bad words even if you bought into propagandized media's use of them to "McCartherise" people. The military is a form of leader controlled "communism". It certainly isn"t a democracy. Not totally different than China, Vietnam or Cuba. By the way, the USA isn't a democracy either. It's a Republic.

Polls can and often are misleading. We don't know who was polled (ie likely voters, registered voters, non-registered voters, predominantly Democrat/Republican/Independent ; what was asked and how; The ONLY poll that really counts will be held on November 6, 2012. Until then, i am praying the nastiness and mudslinging stops. It embarrasses me to read and hear the things these candidates say - some worse than others. Oh, btw, keep these stinking "PACs" out of it -- they can't be held to any standards or accountable for their remarks. I know who my choices will be when it comes time, and because we have secret polling according to our Constitutional Rights, I won't air my choices here. God bless all of the leaders and potential leaders of this nation and God Bless America.

Funny, the polls in Wisconsin said Scott Walker was losing, by a substantial margin, right up until they started counting votes. He ended up winning by a bigger margin than the ridiculous recall.

The moment of the year was watching left biased Wolfy Blitzer as the votes came in. He went from a joyous rancor at the fact Walker was "losing" to looking like someone who just passed gas on live tv. It was the best time I ever had watching CNN. Awesome.

The fact that David Axelrod complains about Gallup and then Eric Holder's Justice Department are sues the organization shows just how far the Democratic Chicago machine will go to skew an election. http://dailycaller.com/2012/09/06/justice-dept-gallup-lawsuit-came-after-axelrod-criticized-pollsters/

Go Romney, Charlie Crist, well his past jumping from party to party says it all.
All I can say is Mr. Romney is a good man, works hard and his family says it all.
We need a business man who cares about this country.

Bain Capital is an asset to the American people. It saved 80% of the companies that were going bankrupt which translates into more jobs than Barack Obama has created in 4 years with this one company called Bain Capital.

Just what does Gov. Romney work hard at other than running for President for the last six years? He claims his money is in a blind trust, he claims he doesn't have any role in Bain (retroactive retirement!) he doesn't seem to do any other kind of work, so what "hard"work is he doing? Too bad we can't see his taxes from the last six years when he has been running for President. No one wants a "business man" who once ran a hedge fund which outsourced jobs to be running the country. And there are lots of "good men" who don't have qualifications to be President. So as a woman, why are you supporting Romney/Ryan when your insurance premiums will be more than a man's if Gov. Romney is elected?

New Tampa has lots of smart educated people who will read the news, sort out truth from fiction, check their arithmetic and realize that President Obama deserves their vote! It's not necessarily about what is best for you individually, but what is best for our country -- if it means that I have to pay higher taxes so that our country can once again prosper then that is the patriotic thing for me to do!

People fight revolutions over taxes and brain dead people like Sharon claim it's "patriotic" to have more money stolen from them. What is wrong with you????????

We are taxed on practically every single thing we do in this country. The Federal govt is BEYOND out of control and the sheeple love the raping.

That's the thing, Sharon, people simply read the news.......most have no clue what's really occurring in the world. You do not hear truth from the corporate controlled press.......they have a narrative they must follow so good little citizens like you will parrot the talking points.

Obama is a POS and so is Romney. Neither has the best interest of the people at heart. They are both empty suits......puppets........a freaking joke to us paying attention.

In fact, both parties are a joke..................and their conventions proved they aren't "about the people."
Take a gander at these videos from the convention, it doesn't matter how the people vote, they do what prefer.

At the RNC.......following the rules.......6 states attempted to nominate Dr. Ron Paul at the convention.....well we cannot have a true grassroots candidate, so let's cheat a little.....change it to 8 states. FYI: At least Boehner shows he can read a teleprompter.

How about the DNC, you know, the folks truly for the little guy....they obviously will listen to the will of the people, right?

continued...Now as to your conspiracy theories of the New York Times and Washington Post and NBC, oh you don't mention Fox, known throughout the world as the most one sided ill informed news organization(Now you have to be fair with both propaganda sides). Oh, your side isn't propaganda? You see, I don't listen to these sides. I see actions as more important. And when I see one side favor the rich by putting millions of people out of work and the other side trying to get health insurance for millions of people who are being denied coverage because they are poor and can't afford it, my moral nature makes the choice of who is doing the most good. Christians would say, whose side would Jesus be on. You say the money changers. Really! I don't need a god to tell me whose side to be on. My sense of moral indignation stems from those who would use others who can't help themselves, makes my choice, while you, who has the full right to do so, chooses the slave owner. Shame on you!

All I heard from our Dear Leader and the rest of the party last night was that Obama saved GM....but gosh this story says it was Bush that approved the bailout..i am so confused......Updated: 12/19/08 President George W. Bush stepped in Friday to keep America's auto industry afloat, announcing a $17.4 billion bailout for GM and Chrysler, with the terms of the loans requiring that the firms radically restructure and show they can become profitable soon.
"It could send our suffering economy into a deeper and longer recession."
The money will come from the Wall Street bailout passed by Congress, a reversal for the White House. President-elect Barack Obama and Democrats had long advocated that course, and Bush had resisted it.
Of the total, $13.4 billion will be paid out in December and January, administration officials told reporters in a briefing. The last $4 billion is contingent on release of the second installment of the Wall Street bailout funds by Congress.

To all Florida voters: Ask the folks in Massachusetts how they liked Romney as their "leader" (governor) for 4 years!!!! The latest polls show that Obama is leading Romney by 21 points there--his biggest lead in the entire nation!! The current governor says Romney left Massachusetts in shambles. They are still trying to fix his mess more than 8 years later.

Do not listen to polls they always seem to come out the way whoever gives them want. Repubs: Romney is ahead, Dems: Obama is ahead. ( and you are racist for not supporting him). So do not listen

I agree with you. I'm a former Massachusetts resident who moved here in 11/04. Romney was not a good governor, I was glad I was leaving. I believe this country see him as the lesser of two "evils" and the people expect an instant repair to this wonderful nation which is not going to happen.

Romney left Massacusetts in a shambles. 250,000 people left the state because they lost their jobs. He is NOT a job creator.

One of the most interesting videos I've ever watched was a TED TALK given by a venture capitalist named Nick Hanauer... I've voted republican in the past and also democrat, I've come to understand most issues as economic, but what fascinates me is the justifications for positions and opinions and policies:

The president doesn't really control the country, corporations via congress does.
It really boils down to what's important to you. If you care most about social issues, you will vote Democratic. If you care most about financial, you'll vote Republican.

Wish I could remember who said this:
D is for Democrats because they're Disappointing.
R is for Republicans because that's the sound a pirate makes when he's robbing you.

I saw Obama yesterday claiming the new job numbers are proof that his policies are working and that we are in an economic recovery... Fact is, that is not the truth, or even close to the truth...
First, the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.9% and the year-to-date monthly average of 157,000 payroll jobs is barely enough to keep up with population growth -- much less make up for the 8 million jobs lost during the Great Recession.
Second, the so-called real unemployment rate (U6) remains elevated at 14.6%, albeit down from 14.7% the prior month. Similarly, the labor participation rate is at 63.8%, up from its multi-decade low but still incredibly weak.
Third, average hourly earnings fell a penny in October and average hours worked fell to 34.4 from 34.5 in September.
Stagnant wages means "we're not generating income," Reinhart says. "That's a problem in terms of the durability of an economic expansion, which is usually fueled by consumption. To get consumption you've got to generate income."
Also, just look at your checkbook. We are paying a lot more for everything now than we did in 2008. The price of gas has doubled. At the same time, wages have gone down, and that's if you're lucky to have a job.
In 2008, 25 banks went out of business. In 2012, 48 banks have gone out of business. Almost double the amount. Does that sound like recovery to you? Don't believe the Obama lies!!
