Parts of Westchase are currently experiencing a power outage, according to Tampa Electric. Work crews are attempting to repair the problem.

About 450 residents in the area are reporting power outages, according to a TECO helpline representative.

There is no information on what caused the outage. Power is expected to be restored by 5:45 p.m., or sooner. Earlier in the day, TECO expected the power to be restored by 11:45 a.m., but the issue creating the outage has taken longer to repair.
