Sock Puppet Craze Hits Westchase
Sock Puppetpalooza provided some great quality time for parents and children on Wednesday, an early release school day in the community.
It was a fun day at Ric Rac Rabbit on Wednesday when youngsters spent the afternoon at "Sock Puppetpalooza." Kids enjoyed puppet stories and created their own unique sock puppet critters during the class located at Westtown Church, 12651 Race Track Rd, Tampa, FL 33626.

Her seven-year-0ld daughter, Abby, a student at Mary Bryant Elementary attended a session in February in which she created Valentine's Day themed crafts including clay hearts that she brought home to bake in the oven. This time, five-year-old Nick attended with his sister.

"Abby absolutely loved coming here the first time," Hartley said. "She made flower pins and she loves when I wear it for her. This is the perfect after-school activity."
Donna Winslow's six-year-old twins Ryan and Jane also came during the Valentine's Day themed sessions and brought home painted wooden picture frames and heart-shaped door hangers.

"They had so much fun and it's much easier for me because Laura has every supply on hand and I don't have to clean up afterwards!" Winslow said.
