Price: $7.50 per glass, $28 per bottle
Flavor notes/description: Dry, with hints of raspberry and cherry, restaurant manager Steve Sulzur says that Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir is an ideal wine for dining al fresco on Stonechase Grill's outdoor patio. The Trinity Oaks vineyard web site explains that it "starts with hints of green tea and mint, and leads to flavors of violet and toasty oak. Sounds like it's worth a try to us!
Suggested food pairings: Steve reccomends pairing this wine with two of Stone Chase Grill's appetizers: Mozzerella & Tomato Salad or Mussels served in Tuscan Garlic Sauce.
"Being the type of red that it is, it could also go nicely with our rib eye steak, or our steak and portobello flatbread."
What's cooking? Wine Down Wednesday is a weekly event at Stone Chase Brick Oven Bar & Grill. All day each Wednesday, every bottle and/or glass of wine is 50 percent off. It's a festive way to get over the mid-week hump and try out some new wine varietals -- all at half price.

My family always has big Cabernets at just about every gathering. I'm always disappointed in Pinot Noir and tend to shy away from it. Any suggestions out there that I might like in a Pinot?
