Spa Simple

You’re supposed to sport that bag on your arm, not under your eyes

Try these easy remedies for tired eyes.

There are a host of reasons why some of us may have this not-so-attractive accessory: allergies, heredity, stress, fatigue, nutrient deficiency and more.

Here are 5 ways to reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes.*

  1.  Get at least 8 hours of sleep. They don’t call it beauty rest for nothing.
  2. Drink plenty of water. Being dehydrated becomes very apparent in this area.
  3. Cool tea bags (not herbal). The tannin in the tea has been found to help reduce swelling and discoloration.
  4. Place a slice of cucumber on each eye. The astringent helps reduce the dark circles.
  5. Eat plenty of green leafy veggies for vitamin E, citrus fruits for vitamin C and orange veggies for vitamin A. All are good for healthy skin.

*It’s important to seek the advice of your doctor before attempting to treat.
