Another Stellar Year for Amazing Race for Life Westchase

The Amazing Race for Life Westchase resulted in $4,755 for the American Cancer Society.

This year's Amazing Race for Life in Westchase was once again a success. This year's race had more than 150 participants, 35 volunteers and raised $4,755 for the American Cancer Society.

The event was held on Feb. 26 and the journey began at the Westchase Recreation Center. The event was created by 13-year-old Brett Steinfeld, who lives in the Stamford community.

Steinfeld created in memory of his grandfathers. Both died from cancer.

The fundraiser involves an adventure of sorts where families and groups have to find their way to various locations and destinations throughout the community.

This year's top fundraiser was The Cheeseheads, who raised more than $350.
