Barking Dog in Starbucks: What Would You Do?

We spotted a dog inside the nearby Starbucks earlier this week.

Imagine relaxing with a cup of coffee inside Starbucks and all of the sudden you hear a dog bark.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the East Lake Starbucks. A woman was seated in a chair and a small black dog sat in her lap as she read from an electronic reading device.

No one seemed to notice until the dog started barking at people when they walked into the coffee shop.

A customer notified one if the baristas that a dog was in the coffee shop. The customer said that the woman told the barista it was a service dog.

When the dog continued to bark at people, woman and the dog left.

The dog, which looked to weigh about 10-to-12 pounds, was not wearing a jacket that said it was a service dog.

So, Westchase, what would you have done if you were inside Starbucks and saw this? Would you complain, ignore the barking, or confront the woman?
