End Construction, Fix Roads, Bring Trader Joe’s: Changes You'd Make to Westchase

Westchase Patch readers have some great ideas for changing the area to make it better. What would you like added to the local landscape to make living here even better?

A dog park, more cafes and fixes for ongoing traffic problems.

“(We) need Trader Joe’s and (a) breakfast place like First Watch or Mimi’s,” wrote Marilou Nystrom Larson.

“Total Wine; pedestrian bridges over Countryway and Racetrack to make it more bike & foot traffic friendly; NO MORE CONSTRUCTION - the area is overcrowded as it is,” Edwards wrote.

Patty Thompson Heinmann also had some traffic fixes in mind for improving the area.

“Stop what looks a lot like drag racing nonsense down Linebaugh (through) the supposed master planned family oriented community of Westchase,” she wrote. “One sort of safe spot to cross the street between Sheldon and Countryway is unacceptable.”

Several readers also mentioned a desire to see the Westchase area get its own dog park. You can check out all the suggestions by visiting Westchase Patch on Facebook.
