Meet Abby: Westchase Pet of the Week

Patch: When and where was your pet born?

Jennifer Becker: Abby was born in Missouri and came to live with us August 1, 2010 when she was 10 weeks old. Her birthday is May 28, 2010.

Patch: Does she have any brothers and sisters?

Becker: She lives in Westchase in Harbor Links with Snowy  (a Persian cat) and Belou (a domestic cat) and loves to play hide and seek with them around the house.

Patch: Favorite song or TV show? 

Becker: Her favorite TV show is America’s Funniest Home Videos. She does not like watching baseball on TV.

Patch: If your dog were an ice cream flavor what would it be? 

Becker: Based on her coloring, probably Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch.

Patch: Favorite place to take a nap?

Becker: Either on her doggie bed or one of our laps.

Patch: Favorite place to walk or play?

Becker: She loves to play with her toys which include a toy box full of stuffed animals, nyla bones and balls, but she has also has been known to have a good time by destroying an entire roll of toilet paper. She recently learned how to do the doggie paddle in the pool.

Patch: What is her favorite snack or treat?

Becker: Besides her dog treats, she likes to snack on apples and bananas.

Patch: What tricks can she do?

Becker: She knows a handful of tricks and hopes to learn more. For now, she knows how to sit, give her paw and lay down. She recently learned how to climb up a whole flight of stairs in our home but hasn’t figured out how to get down.

Patch: Does she get along with other dogs?

Becker: Abby also loves to play with other dogs in the neighborhood.

Patch: Do your cat beg for table-scraps? If so, does she have a favorite?

Becker: She doesn't beg too often, but she likes rotisserie chicken, apples, pickles and blueberries.

Patch: Has she taken a particular liking to any frequent visitors? aka - mailman, trash collector, Fed Ex guy, etc.

Becker: She gives everyone the same amount of affection and kisses.
