Meet Dallas: Westchase Pet of the Week
This week we met up with Maryann Wetmore of Odessa and her mixed breed cat, Dallas. Here is what we learned:
Patch: When and where was your pet born?
Maryann Wetmore: Actually, Dallas is from Japan. My niece adopted her in 2000 while staying at Yokota Air Force Base.
Patch: Does she have any brothers and sisters?

Wetmore: Other dogs - she has major anxiety issues.
Patch: Favorite song or TV show?
Wetmore: She loves to watch American Idol with me!
Patch: What did she get for Christmas?
Wetmore: Little balls with bells on them.
Patch: If your dog were an ice cream flavor what would it be?
Wetmore: Green Tea flavor because she is from Japan.
Patch: Favorite place to take a nap?
Wetmore: She loves to cuddle in my lap, anywhere really.
Patch: Favorite place to walk or play?
Wetmore: Dallas loves to hunt for lizards out by the pool.
Patch: What is her favorite snack or treat?
Wetmore: She likes to lick my Iced Green Tea can, because it is cold and wet on her tongue.
Patch: What tricks can she do?
Wetmore: She leaps from the floor to the kitchen counter, to the top of the fridge, and then all the way on top of the cabinets!
Patch: When is her favorite play time?
Wetmore: After work, when I get home from the office she runs to greet me and plops at my feet and rolls on her back. She loves to play "swat-the-tail"
Patch: Do your cat beg for table-scraps? If so, does she have a favorite?
Wetmore: She begs for my oatmeal every morning, so that she can lick the bowl.
Patch: Has she taken a particular liking to any frequent visitors? aka - mailman, trash collector, fed ex guy, etc.
Wetmore: She loves it when my nieces visit with their babies. She likes to sniff the little baby noses and sometimes she gives little baby kisses.
