Meet Riley: Westchase Pet of the Week

This week's Pet of the Week is Riley, a female Yorkie that lives in the Vineyards with her owner Tara Payor. Here is what we learned in a recent interview:

Patch: When and where was your pet born?

Tara Payor:  July 21, 2001 in Arkansas

Patch: Does she have any brothers and sisters?

Payor: Not that live with us.

Patch: How about a Nemesis?

Payor: Most definitely fireworks!  We feel so badly when snap, crackle, and pop holidays come around.  July 4th and New Year's Eve don't make her too happy.  We try to keep calm and snuggle even harder.

Patch: Favorite song or TV show?

Payor: Riley loves Kelly Clarkson's Miss Independent; it is who she is!

Patch: What did she get for Christmas?

Payor: She loves, loves, loves opening gifts! This year, Riley got a new pink dress.  When we take clothes out for her (she does have her own drawer) she walks right into them.  She also loves her collars.

Patch: If your dog was a ice cream flavor what would it be?

Payor:  French Vanilla.  She is classic and stylish and she does not get fat. As for me, I love a good pistachio.  Funny enough, Riley and I are hard core ice cream lovers.  We eat frozen yogurt a whole lot! She also gets Frosty Paws (available at the grocery store).

Patch: Favorite place to take a nap?

Payor: Any place where the sun is shining through.

Patch: Favorite place to walk or play?

Payor: Anywhere that folks will give her love.

Patch: What is her favorite snack or treat?

Payor: Anything that falls on the ground is game.  She has an affinity for bananas, though.  Even if I open the peel while she's upstairs, she'll run down.  It's a banana.  She definitely cannot hear that from the second story!  Crazy!

Patch: When is her favorite play time?

Payor: Definitely not in the morning.  She likes to do doggie yoga (she stretches) when she wakes up.  Other than that, she'll play any time that you initiate it.  When my husband comes home, she gets really "riled" up.

Patch: What tricks can she do?

Payor: She can sit. She can kiss. She can give you lots of snuggles.
