New Westchase Church Debuts Sunday

Core Church plans to meet weekly at Westchase Elementary School.

Westchase residents looking for a new place to worship don’t have to look farther than the local elementary school for a new option.

Core Church plans to host its first service at Westchase Elementary School, 9517 W. Linebaugh Ave., this Sunday, Sept. 22. The new church’s services will take place weekly from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m., according to Greg Phelps, senior pastor.

“We love people and want to see God transform the lives of everyone we meet,” said Phelps. “The energy, life and health of Core Church will be easily experienced right away. No matter what your background or how you have experienced church in the past, we want you to feel welcome to join us and find out the greater life God has for each person.”

Founding a church is hard work, but Phelps said it’s been a rewarding experience.
