Porches, Pavers: Should Westchase Restrict the Colors?

Porches, Pavers: Should Westchase Restrict the Colors? As the community's voting members toy with the idea of setting new rules, we'd like to get your take on the topic!

Blue, green and pink sidewalk and walkway pavers might be a thing of the past if Westchase Voting Members move forward with discussions to limit the colors of the rainbow for residents.

During July’s meeting, voting members toyed with the idea of setting an approved color palette for pavers. They also discussed an amendment that would limit the colors residents can use on their porches, according to the World of Westchase.

“It feels to me that we need a guideline for porches, stoops, etc. that covers all of Westchase,” voting member Kathy Carlsen of Glencliff was quoted as saying.

The issue of colors for porches is expected to come back up in August. Talk about limiting paver colors is just beginning and was brought up by Ira Hoffman.

Right now, the suggestions on the table include making sure pavers are blends of colors rather than solid colors and taking black off the table entirely.
