Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $425 Million
The estimated prize in the Aug. 7 drawing hasn't broken records, but is that stopping you from getting in the game Westchase?
An estimated $425 million is a far cry from the record-breaking $590 million Powerball Jackpot won earlier this year by a Pasco County resident.
Even so, that’s a pretty sizeable chunk of change. After all is said and done with taxes, a winning Powerball ticket holder from Florida can expect a net payout of more than $172,725,000, according to USAMega.com.
The odds of winning on a single ticket purchase is one in 175 million, according to the Huffington Post. But, are those odds discouraging you?
