West Park Village Halloween Celebration Set For Oct. 25

This early Halloween celebration is perfect for families and pets.

West Park Village will be alive with ghost, ghouls, pumpkins and pets later this week when this year's Halloween Spooktacular kicks off.

The annual event will happen in the heart of the community on Montague Street on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Westchase families are invited to bring their kids and pets dressed up in costumes.

"We are very excited about this year's Spooktacular and (are) looking forward to good time," said Nadia White, marketing manager for West Park Village Apartments.

Last year, Spooktacular drew about 1,500 people, White said. This year is anticipated to be an even larger crowd.

Normally West Park Village retailers set up tables outside their stores and pass out candy and goodies.

Catch Twenty Three owner Rob Wickner said the restaurant will be giving away candy and doing a mini pumpkin painting craft for kids.

In addition to the retailers providing treats, West Park Village will host face painting for kids, a pumpkin patch and John Deer Tractor rides around the community.

With the crowd expected to break last year's record, West Park Village Apartments encourages guest to walk to the event or park on the side streets such as New Park Road and Brompton Drive.
