Showings will start at 7:30pm, but president of  the Westchase Community Association Joaquin Arrillaga recommends attendees arrive around 7 p.m. to mingle and have time to find a seat.

Parking will be available at park’s parking lot located at 10017 Bridgeton Dr., or at the WCA office’s parking lot at 10049 Parley Dr.

“But I’d suggest people to take bikes,” Arrillaga said.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket because there will not be prearranged seating. Free popcorn will be served and bottled water and sodas will be available for purchase.

“I hope there will be a big turn out,” Arrillaga said.

The WCA has already picked the next movies and dates, but locations are not confirmed yet.

The dates and movies will be: May 20, "Toy Story 3," G-rated; June 10, "Hook," PG rated; Oct. 14, "Cars," G-rated; Nov. 18, "Cars 2," G-rated; Dec. 9, "The Polar Express," PG-rated.

“The reason why we chose Hook is because that movie came out 20 years ago and this is Westchase 20 year anniversary,” Arrillaga said.

Movies will not be shown during summer months due to the heat and annoying  mosquitos.

The WCA budget for the series of movies is $1,800, according to Arrillaga.

But movies at the park are just a taste of the year-long celebration. The West Park Village swimming pool will have an opening party at 10 a.m. on May 1 as part of the anniversary celebration, including food and vendors.

Various concerts in the park are also planned throughout the year.
