Westchase's Movies In The Park Back For 2013

If you enjoyed spending your Friday night's last year watching the movies under the stars in Westchase's Baybridge Park then this news should bring a smile to your face.

The Westchae Community Association has decided to continue showing the movies through 2013.

"People just loved them," said Debbie Sainz, Westchase's Senior Community Association Manager. 

The movies in the park events happen the second Friday of the month at 7:00p.m. in Baybridge Park, located at 10020 Bridgeton Dr. This year's season runs from January through March and then picks back up from October through December.

"We are not doing them outise of daylight savings," Sainz said.

Last year the WCA began offering Movies in the Park as a way to celebrate  the community's 20th year anniversary. The events became very popular - drawing an average of 250 people - at each showing.

The recently approved WCA 2013 budget includes $6,300 for WCA events and celebrations. Some of this money is used to pay for the Movies in the Park event.

Movie goers are welcomed to bring chairs, blankets and snacks. Pets nor alcohol is allowed, Sainz said.

Sainz said the WCA and the Westchase Dad's Club will continue to hand out free popcorn, juice and candy.
