CAMP IDS Performers to Stage Broadway Favorites

"100 Years of Broadway Revue" performances
to take place Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30.

Broadway fans will be treated to melodies representing more than 80 different Broadway hits this Friday and Saturday when students from the popular musical theatre camp at Independent Day School-Corbett Campus present 100 Years of Broadway Revue.

Under the direction of drama teacher, Seth Travaglino, 100 Years of Broadway Revue is the perfect show for the entire family. Performances will take place on Friday, June 29 at
7 p.m. and Saturday, June 30 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school’s Farish Center. Tickets are $5 and available at the door.

Students will sing and dance to songs from some of the all-time greatest Broadway shows from the past 100 years, including pieces by legends such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and many more. Numbers in the revue come from hit shows including:
The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Chicago, to name just a few.

Musical theatre is one of more than 60 different full and half-day camps offered at Camp IDS, which runs through July 27. Selections are available in a broad array of fields, from academics, communications and technology, to performing arts, visual arts, recreation, sports, and travel.

“Camp IDS has been providing something for everyone from PreK through high school for many years,” said Independent Day School’s Marie Massara, who co-directs the camp with Garrett Jagdmann and Stephen Shoe. "Many children who come to Camp IDS have been here before. They keep coming back because they feel safe,
welcome, and have a great time."

"Our highly trained teachers and experienced camp counselors love what they do," added Mr. Shoe. "That fun and positive attitude permeates the entire camp."

Independent Day School is located at 12015 Orange Grove Drive in Tampa. For more information about camp visit www.idsyes.com.
