Local Town Gets Nod on HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’

The show, now in its fourth season, is set during the time Temple Terrace was founded.

Temple Terrace was a booming area in the 1920s, and the HBO show “Boardwalk Empire” made mention of the community in its latest episode.

Set in the Prohibition era, “Boardwalk Empire” follows the dealings of Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), a politician and gangster in Atlantic City and an expert on anything to do with illegal alcohol. The show is in its fourth season.

In Episode 39 while in Tampa to investigate a land deal, Nucky meets Skeeter Walsh (Roe Hartrampf), who works for a real estate company. Skeeter introduces himself as a binder boy, someone who takes 10 percent deposits to hold property that’s for sale.
