Westchase Community Theater to Stage 'Little Mermaid Jr.'

Ariel, the fun-loving Disney mermaid, will swim into Westchase April 12-13 when the Westchase Community Theater stages "The Little Mermaid Jr."

The troupe members ranging from kindergarten to high school have been busy rehearsing for its newest production to be presented Friday, April 12 at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at Westchase Elementary School, 9517 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa.

Randi Mitchell and Vanessa Lewis, a Westchase Elementary music teacher, formed Westchase Community Theater in 2008, opening with "The Sound of Music."

The theater troupe is open to all local public, private and home-schooled students, and every child gets the opportunity to be part of the production.
