Puppet Show; Seafood Cooking Class: 5 Things To Know This Week, Dec. 12-18

What you need to know to make it a great week.

  1. It's toddler time on Weds., Dec. 14, 10:30am at the Songs, games and crafts will be done during this 20-minute program. Children 18-36 months old are welcome. Address: 17808 Wayne Rd. in Odessa.
  2. Several Westchase neighborhoods will hold their annual meetings this week. Check the World of Westchase calendar of events to find out when your neighborhood meets.
  3. This Wednesday, Dec. 14 head over to Napa Flair for a Holiday Wine Tasting fundraiser, 6pm-9pm. The wine tasting event, co-sponsored by Monet and Merlot, will include a painting class. Fund raised will go to benefit All Around Kids, Inc., a non profit that helps underprivileged children by giving them the financial support to be involved in the extracurricular activity of their choice.   4. On Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6pm take your little ones to see the Swan Queen Puppet Show, the Hans Christian Andersen's story of unselfish love and friendship. For ages 4 and up., 11211 Countryway Blvd. in Tampa.
  5. Brush up on or perfect your seafood cooking skills at the Berghoff Culinary Center in Odessa on Friday, Dec. 16 at noon. Address: 11063 SR 54, in Odessa. Price is $45. To register call: (727) 853-3373.
