Beers & Burgers: Magic Hat #9 at Burger 21
Each week "Cheers, Westchase!" helps you kick off your weekend, highlighting either a beer, cocktail or wine you can find right here in the neighborhood.
What better pairing is there than a burger and a beer? This week, Cheers Westchase! heads to Burger 21 for just that combo.
The Beer: Magic Hat #9 is brewed in Burlington, Vermont by the Magic Hat Brewing Company. Not quite a pale ale, this is an English Ale made with apricot extract and contains 5.1 alcohol by volume.

The Burger: Burger 21's head chef Chef Shane Shaibly suggests pairing Magic Hat #9 with the Black and Bleu burger. Blackened to perfection, it's stacked with lettuce, tomato, applewood-smoked bacon and bleu cheese crumbles.
If you want to share with friends, the Black and Bleu also comes in a 4-pack of sliders. May we sugest, on the side, some of their addictive sweet potato fries dipped in something from the infamous sauce bar, like the tangy Thai ketchup or their honeycomb mustard?

If beef isn't for you, not to worry. The menu here also includes burgers made from everything from chicken to turkey, and shrimp to veggies. Insider tip: Every 4 weeks, a special Burger of the Month is announced and you have a limited time to get in and give it a try.
The Buzz: Like Burger 21 on Facebook to keep up with their specials and Burger of the Month. If you haven't been yet, check out the next First Friday event August 3. The plaza comes alive with live music, entertainment and Westchase families and friends out for a good time. It's a great night to enjoy some of Burger 21's cuisine -- and, of course, a Magic Hat #9.
