'Eat at Joe's' on Friday

After May 10, the event will be held on every second Friday of the month, rain or shine.

Westchase residents who make the daily commute to downtown Tampa don't have to think too hard about what to do at lunchtime on Friday.

From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on May 10, the first "Eat at Joe's Lunch and Concert Series" kicks off at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square.

The square is at the corner of Pierce and Madison streets, and the event will be held on the second Friday of every month after May 10, rain or shine, throughout the summer.

The event features King High School graduate Johnny Lowery performing on steel drums.

Bring your own food, buy food at the park - NatePaul's Q4U will sell barbeque, and LaPetite France will offer crepes - or buy a boxed lunch from a local restaurant.
