Golf Club Bar and Greek Restaurant, Cigar Bar Closes: Westchase Business Roundup

A look at what's happening on the business front in Westchase.

Coming out of the summer Westchase's commercial business scene seems to be heating up with some fun options being added to the roster and some more dining options being brought to the table.

We're hearing great things about The Golf Club, which recently opened at 12950 Racetrack Road in the same shopping center as Samurai Blue. That shopping center has taken a few hits over the last couple years losing community favorites like Learning Express Toys and the Paparazzi Clothing Store.

However, The Golf Club seems to be breathing life back into it. This new concept bar allows golfers to play on virtual courses while they drink and be merry. They've got 24 beers on tap and make some pretty good martinis from what we're told.

With this new bar and the new Dunkin Donuts and Christian Brothers Automotive, it looks like Racetrack Road is turning into a hot spot in the area.

On the other side of the road and coin, it looks like C&G Cigars, which was located at 11655 Countryway Blvd, has closed. The location had an indoor humidor, served a nice selection of beers and espresso and was an all around cool dude hangout.

Finally, it looks like Greek City Cafe in Westchase Town Center is just about ready for prime time. The last time we went by they were doing some last minute like repairs. We'll keep you updated for grand opening information.
