New Barbershop Mixes Old With New; Hookah Lounge Opens: Westchase Business Roundup

A look at the comings and goings on the Westchase business scene.

It's part cool man cave, part old school barbershop - straight razors and all.

Rigby's Barbershop opened in Westchase in December. It's located at 11655 Countryway Blvd.

The barbershop has a sleek modern edge, with flat screen televisions (always tuned to a sporting event), Craftsmen bar stools and industrial decor from the floor to the ceiling beams.

It oozes maleness and that's just what owner Shawna Struble wanted.

The Westchase resident has been a barber for years. She noticed Westchase lacked a non-chain, upscale barbershop for men.

"I wanted to provide a place where men could get a real haircut," Struble said. "We want to give the men the same experience women might get in a spa or salon, but we're providing it for a man."

Along with personalized cuts, Rigby's plans to offer massages and straight razor shaves. A cold beer is always waiting for customers who come through the door as well.
