New Irish Bar Opening in Westchase

Irish 31 has plans to open in the neighborhood this summer.

Westchase will have another bar and dining option come summer time.

Irish 31 is opening in an anchor location in West Park Village. The pub, which has one other location in South Tampa, is known for its upscale take on the traditional Irish pub fare. Irish 31 will be located in the old Bellissimo restaurant in West Park Village.

"Our Westchase restaurant will look almost the same as our location in Hyde Park only slightly larger," owner Jay Mize told the World of Westchase Magazine. "We will also have a great patio."

Irish 31's menu items like traditional Shepherd's Pie and fish-n-chips mix pleasantly with fresher options like Woodchuck Cider Shrimp Salad, and sit down dinner items like a 14-ounce ribeye.

The restaurant and bar also offers a kids menu. Like in South Tampa, various drink specials and live entertainment will be offered through the week at the bar's Westchase location.
