Patch Picks: Best Milkshakes

Sure, you know the milkshake basics of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. But what about Bananas Foster? Or Chikoo?

Where to go for the best milkshakes according to Westchase Patch!

  • : Don't let the name fool you, burgers may be their main game but Burger 21 doesn't scrimp what it comes to milkshakes. They serve up classic vanilla, strawberry and chocolate for $3.25 but offer a menu of signature shakes too. For the pyro-shake lover, try the bananas foster shake which involves on-site caramelising for the bananas, blowtorch and all for $4.25.  They also offer chocolate malted whopper, strawberry shortcake, chocolate cherry bomb, key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter and the Ybor City double espresso shakes for $4.25.
  •  : If your taste-buds are craving something sweet but adventurous try one of these exotic milkshake flavors. The Rose-Falooda is a rose-infused milkshake whose original recipe dates back to the 16th century in South Asia. If rose-infusion isn't your style, try the Chikoo fruit milkshake. The Chikoo fruit, also called a Sapota is known as the mud apple and is naturally sweet.  They also offer mango and pistachio milkshakes. All milkshakes are $4.99
  • Their "Creamy thick custom milkshakes" start with homemade ice cream, then are whipped it into any flavor you want.  If you can't make up your mind, they've got a bunch of milkshake flavors like Cream Cake Batter, Mississippi Mud Pie or Peanut Butter Blast, Oreo Blast, and Mint Chocolate Chip. They also offer new twists on classic flavors like Sweet Cream Vanilla, Strawberry Strawberry, and Double Dutch Chocolate. Regular shakes are $3.73 for 22 oz . Large shakes are $4.73 for 32 oz.
  • Whether it's a classic shake, a side-by-side or a signature shake, this joint knows how to do a milkshake right. Each shake is hand-dipped and made to order, with a cherry on top (or not if you prefer). Plus, weekdays from 2-4 p.m. and 2-4 a.m. all drinks and shakes are half-off.
