Use Social Media and Get Free Lightbulbs
Progress Energy is giving away CFL lightbulbs to people who follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
Is your light bill taking a life of its own? Progress Energy Florida wants to help.
They'll give away a set of eight CFL bulbs to Florida customers who follow their Facebook and Twitter pages.
Five winners will be randomly selected from each social media channel. www.facebook.com/ProgressEnergyFlorida or Twitter (@progressenergy) through Aug. 10.

Replacing just eight frequently used bulbs with CFLs can save up to $72 per year in electric costs, according to Progress Energy Florida. Not only do CFLs use 75 percent less energy, the bulbs last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs.
