Will Westchase Teachers Take Free Gun Course?

The offer is made to Hillsborough teachers, after 200 Pinellas teachers took the course.

About 200 Pinellas County teachers took a free gun safety class. Now Hillsborough County teachers, including those in Westchase will get the same offer, WTSP.com is reporting.

International Executive Protection of Tampa Bay will provide for free a special  "concealed carry" class to Hillsborough County teachers, according to the WTSP website.

The all-day class will run on Saturday, March 30, starting at 11 a.m. The value of the class is $75 but the cost is being wiaved for teachers who bring a valid school ID card.

An NRA certified instructor teaches the four-hour class, which is a requirement for obtaining at concealed weapons permit in Florida.
