Kim Walker Joins LifePath Hospice as Executive Director

LifePath Hospice has announced that Kim Walker has joined the nonprofit organization on January 20 as executive director.

Walker has more than 25 years of extensive experience in program operations and management. Walker most recently held senior-level positions with Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla., including Cancer Center administrator and associate vice president of Cancer Services. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Doctors Hospital in Sarasota and Memorial Hospital in Tampa.

In her role as executive director, Walker will be directly responsible for overseeing the operations and services that LifePath Hospice delivers in Hillsborough County. She will manage more than 700 staff members providing care for approximately 1,300 patients each day.

Walker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Sociology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. and a Master of Science in Hospital and Health Care Administration from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala. She recently completed a two-year leadership fellowship with The Advisory Board Company, a global research, technology and consulting firm that partners with leaders in healthcare and higher education.
