Corey Knows Best: What's Your New Year Plan?

Some thoughts on a new year from this mom to you.

So we're almost a week in to 2012.  I am still putting away, unpacking, organizing, cleaning, de-chaosing from the last two weeks.  Hope I'm not alone.  I'm also in that post-Christmas haze where I can't believe it's over.  We spend months preparing and just like that, in a flash, it's over.  Ours was magical, hope yours was too.

I don't do resolutions, because I never keep them.  I'm weak, I know.  But there are things I would like to do/ be better at/ work harder at/ focus on in 2012.  I thought I'd share them, see if there are any we have in common, and hear your goals/plans/resoltions for 2012.

Here it goes:

Facebook less.  There, I admitted it.  I have a problem.

Lose the perpetual 10 pounds I am always 'trying' to lose.

Sleep more.  Is my house the only one where there is almost always a child or dog (only one dog here...) who wakes up in the middle of the night?

Blog more.  I write for three blogs (one is my own) and the last quarter of 2011 I lost my blogging mojo.  Somewhere between the holidays, traveling, and starting my own business, it disappeared.  Hope to have it back soon.

Pause more.  It's so easy to get lost in the shuffle, caught up in list making, overwhelmed by the day to day.  I was to pause more and get lost less.

Take more pictures.  Of my kids, my family, our life, your kids, your grandma's dog.  Whatever. I just want to take more.

On a totally unrelated note, did you see this?  A free pass for kids 5 and under for the year for Busch Gardens and Sea World.  Awesome right?  You're welcome.

Hope your new years was happy, your Christmas merry and bright, and 2012 is off to the start you hoped for.
