5 Things To Know About the First Day of School, Tues. Aug. 23
What you need to know to make the first day of school a great day!
- Hillsborough County School Board members will be making stops at area schools on the first day. Board member Susan Valdes will pay visits to Westchase Elementary and Davidsen Middle. Mary Ellen Elia will visit Walker Middle in Odessa today.
- Didn't have time to pack your child's lunch. No worries. Kids can expect some more nutritional changes to their lunch menu this year thanks to the district's healthier breakfast/lunch initiative.
- Is your child a walker? Be sure to go over the basics of how to stay safe on their way to school.
- Parents of kindergartners remember you (a guardian or older sibling) must be present at the bus stop when your child returns home or they will be returned to the school.
