Chef Anne Signing Off

It’s with mixed emotions I write this final column of Cooking with Chef Anne.

Much has happened in the year that I’ve written this weekly column, and it’s all good news.

Our restaurant, The Deli Diva in Largo, has grown by leaps and bounds, partly due to the exposure of my cooking column here at Patch. We’re also in the planning stages of putting a mobile food unit on the road in addition to having the restaurant.

I intend to make this a very interactive site with lots of input from my readers. We’ll share recipes, kitchen stories, reviews of restaurants and farmers markets, and just discuss our mutual love of food and cooking.

We’ll have recipe contests with prizes, and some of my chef buddies might check in with some words of wisdom of their own to share with you.

I'm also working on another in my series of cookbooks, The Deli Diva Cooks-Fast, Cheap & Easy.

It’s pretty evident that (not to use a culinary pun), my plate is full.

I’ve decided to step down from the weekly duties of column writing, but hopefully I’ll be back from time to time with coverage of a food event, a new restaurant opening, chef interview or the latest food trend.

It’s been a great year meeting my readers who emailed me about the columns and asked for cooking advice. I enjoyed our conversations and meeting many of you in person either at our restaurant or at the Largo First Fridays.

I hope you all continue on your individual culinary journeys and never forget that when you cook from your heart, your meals will always be a success.
