Chick-fil-A Customer Appreciation Day: Did You Go?

Reports of long lines at the restaurant chain came in from around the country, including Citrus Park Mall and Oldsmar.

As Chick-fil-A finds itself in the center of an ongoing controversy over marriage, supporters of the eatery .

Throughout the Tampa Bay area and in many other parts of the country, people turned out in droves to patronize the embattled restaurant. Whether they came to show their support for freedom of speech, traditional marriage or just to get a crispy chicken sandwich with a pickle wasn’t always clear.

As Chick-fil-A proponents turned out in droves, others opted to boycott the establishment to show their support for same-sex marriage.

Can't decide how I feel about this one. I have no issue with LBGT marriage equality, and I love Chick-fil-a. I have been eating their since I was a child. While I respect Mr. Cathy's right to his opinion, and am in no way surprised by it given his strong religious beliefs, I do not respect capitalizing on the controversy. I also take issue with customers berating the employees on the subject as if they too support everything Mr. Cathy said. Sadly, we want to divide so much more than we want to come together...
