As temperatures in the Tampa Bay area dip for the first time in the fall season, Westchase residents are enjoying the change of pace.
A quick query on the Westchase Patch Facebook page this morning yielded near-instant likes when readers were asked what they thought about the mild weather that’s carried forward from the weekend.
While we’ve seen a nice drop in the high and low temperatures as Hurricane Sandy passed the state, the National Weather Service’s forecast shows it’s not likely to continue for long.
Even so, the forecast for the Westchase does call for a few more mild days. Expect a high in the upper 60s today and a low overnight around 50. Tuesday’s weather is much the same, except the low is anticipated to come in around 57 degrees.
Things start to warm up for Halloween when the high will reach about 75 and the low about 60 degrees. Thursday and Friday will see a return of 80-degree-plus highs.
Rain, by the way, starts to creep into the forecast on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The chances right now are only at 20 percent.
