Live Stream: Presidential Inauguration 2013 Where to Watch From Westchase

Here's your guide to the inauguration of President Barack Obama today.

Couldn't make it all the way from Westchase to Washington, D.C., to watch today's Presidential Inauguration?

Don't worry; you're not alone. You can, however, catch many of the events as they are covered live on national media outlets, such as HuffPost Live.

Today's festivities include the Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Address, Inaugural Parade and numerous inaugural balls and galas honoring President Barack Obama for his second term.

The official theme for the 2013 inauguration is “Faith in America’s Future."

2013 Inauguration Schedule

11:30 a.m.: The oath of office will be administered on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Following the oath of office, the President will give his inaugural address. Tickets are required, but not for those who wish to watch the swearing-in ceremony on large screens that will be set up along the National Mall.

The order of the program will be as follows:

  • Musical Selections: The United States Marine Band
  • Musical Selections: PS 22, Staten Island, New York and Lee University Festival Choir, Cleveland, Tennessee
  • Call to Order and Welcoming Remarks: The Honorable Charles E. Schumer
  • Invocation: Myrlie Evers-Williams
  • Musical Selection: Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir 
  • Oath of Office Administered to Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.: By Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor
  • Musical Selection: James Taylor
  • Oath of Office Administered to President Barack H. Obama: By the Chief Justice of the United States, The Honorable John G. Roberts, Jr.
  • Inaugural Address: The President of the United States, The Honorable Barack H. Obama
  • Musical Selection: Kelly Clarkson
  • Poem: Richard Blanco
  • Benediction: To Be Announced
  • The National Anthem: Beyoncé    

2:30 p.m.: The Inauguration Parade will go down Pennsylvania Avenue, and will include both ticketed and nonticketed spots for watching.

The Multi-Jurisdictional Police Drill Team—including members of several county sheriff's departments, and retired Michigan State Police—will be .

Evening: The Official Inaugural Ball is by invitation only, and will include performances by Alicia Keys, Black Violin, Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, FUN., members of the Glee cast, John Legend, Katy Perry, Maná, Smokey Robinson, Soundgarden, Stevie Wonder and Usher.

There will also be a Commander in Chief's Ball for members of the Armed Forces, with performances by Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Chris Cornell, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Marc Anthony. Watch the event live online at www.pentagonchannel.mil.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

The Inaugural National Prayer Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Washington National Cathedral. The event is by invitation only, but will be webcast live at www.nationalcathedral.org.

Where to Watch From Westchase

HuffPost Live will livestream the inauguration ceremony.

NBC will provide full coverage of Inauguration Day starting at 10 a.m., as well as a variety of social media and online options for following the day's excitement. Check out their NBC News Inauguration Cheat Sheet.

Fox News will provide coverage of the swearing in ceremony, plus coverage from the Inaugural Ball starting at 9 p.m. Check out their Inauguration Homepage, where they'll also be live streaming the event.

The Hillsborough County Democratic Party doesn't have any formal events planned for today, but members do have several upcoming meetings. To find out more about the party's local chapter, visit it online.
