Name: Rylee Mendel, 10.
School: Oakstead Elementary, 5th grade.
Outstanding Deed: Rylee helped to raise over $10,000 for The Brady James Foundation by donating her time and making bracelets to sell. She was apart of a fundraiser with The National Honor Society in which they did Pennies for Pasta and raised moneys for kids with a rare form of cancer. Currently she is working with the Student Council and participating in Coins for Change in an effort to raise money for a fellow student diagnosed with cancer.
Key to Awesomeness: Rylee belongs to The Oakstead Elementary Chorus, Student Council, and is secretary of Oakstead's National Elementary Honor Society. She is on the Safety Patrol and is an Honor Roll Student. She believes the key to her "awesomeness" is doing good things for other people, because it helps her appreciate all the good things in her own life.
