Possible Storms, Heat on Tap for Westchase

Temperatures will climb to about 92 degrees in the Westchase area on Saturday.

The weather should cooperate, but you might want to bring along an umbrella just in case.

According to the National Weather Service, the Westchase area will see a weekend high temperature around 92 on Saturday with highs also in the low 90s on Friday and Sunday.

Rain chances are reasonably high today, July 6, coming in at 40 percent, but they lessen out in the evening hours to 20 percent. The forecast is much the same throughout the weekend with storm chances hovering in the 20-30-percent range. That changes going into the early part of next week when the likelihood of rain climbs to 50 percent on both Monday and Tuesday.

While our area looks like it’s in for typical Florida weather over the weekend, the news is also good out of the tropics. According to the National Hurricane Center, there is no tropical cyclone activity at this time.
