Restaurant Raises $5,000 For Pediatric Cancer Fundraiser

A special fundraiser was held at Catch Twenty Three last week.

On April 7, the folks at Catch Twenty Three took a break from cooking up delicious food and rooted on chef and owner Rob Wickner as he had his head shaved.

The haircut was a part of an effort to raise money for The Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

The restaurant, 10103 Montague St., served unlimited appetizers, held a silent auction and had a live band for a suggested donation of $25 per person. As a way to boost donations, Wickner said he would have his head shaved during the fundraiser.

And he followed through. In between band sets, Wickner sat down and had his thick dark hair shaved off.

Sunday's fundraiser coincided with the restaurant's 10th anniversary.
