Tampa Bay History Center Offers Free Admission for Teachers

Teachers can get into the center for free on the weekends during the month of September.

All Florida K-12 teachers presenting valid school identification will receive one free regular-price admission to the Tampa Bay History Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of September.

This special promotion allows educators to explore the History Center and familiarize themselves with the unique historical educational opportunities that are offered.

The Tampa Bay History Center is located at 801 Old Water St. in downtown Tampa. The center features many aspects of Tampa's history including Cigar City, which chronicles the city's storied industry and the immigrants who contributed to its prominence. The center is also home to the fabulous Columbia Cafe, which features some of the same delicious recipes found at the historical restaurant in Ybor City. Spanish bean soup, deviled crabs and flan are just some of the items on the menu. Check it out for yourself by going here.
