One Tampa woman is several million dollars richer thanks to the Florida Lotto.
Consuelo Lopez, 57, of Tampa was the $5 million Florida Lotto jackpot winner during the Nov. 21 drawing, according to a media release from the Florida Lottery. Lopez chose to have her winnings paid out in a lump-sum payment that topped $3.5 million.
The Publix at 12026 Anderson Road gets the credit for selling Lopez’s Quick Pick ticket. For its troubles, the store gets a $25,000 commission. That particular Quick Pick is the 66th jackpot-winning ticket sold in Hillsborough since 1988, according to the release.
The next Florida Lotto drawing is this Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11:15 p.m. There’s a $4 million prize on the line.
