Flavor notes/description: Parducci is a California vineyard committed to sustainable winegrowing practices, a philosophy that pairs well with Pizza Fusion's committment to fresh, organic ingredients. "I really like Pinot Noirs, and this is one of my favorites," says Pizza Fusion manager Chris Wehnert. This varietal offers aromas of ripe raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb, full and rich on the palate, picking up a hint of cedar in the finish.
Food pairing suggestions: Chris reccomends pairing this wine with the restaurant's Sausage and Tri-Color Pepper Pizza, which features sweet Italian sausage, roasted red, green and yellow peppers, tomato sauce, chili flakes and mozzerella, parmesean and provolone cheeses. If you're a veggie lover, try the Farmer's Market Pizza: a medley of roasted artichoke hearts, red onions, zucchini, potobellos, tomato sauce and a three-cheese blend. The Parducci web site reccomends pairing this wine with turkey, ham, butternut squash or mushroom risotto.
