Organic Container Garden with Willow
LaMonte

Sunday, February 9 from 1:00-3:00pm

Find out what's happening in Westchasewith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Urban gardeners can plant fresh homegrown veggies, edible
flowers, and herbs naturally and inexpensively in mobile containers.  Learn organic ways to safely grow edibles in
non-toxic planters without plastic.
We'll cover the numerous greens (reds, purples, too) and fruiting plants
that grow beautifully during our cool and mild time of year, as well as many
herbs that adore Florida
winters.  We'll also look at ways to keep
heat-loving plants alive during frosts.
Included: seed planting tips, organic fertilizers and soil, container
mulching (yup!), avoiding overcrowding, and preventing plant diseases and
insect infestations.  Whether you grow
vertically or horizontally, you can enjoy your portable organic garden for
years to come!
