Happy Social Media Day!

Weather you know it or not, today is the second annual Social Media Day and there are plenty of things for you to do! Social Media Day was started by the website Mashable last year as a day to get together and think about how social media has influenced our lives. So here is a quick run down of some of the things that you can do today:

• Google plus is out in Beta version. If you are interested in trying out the new social network by Google, leave a comment and I will invite you. I generally like the things that Google rolls out but that had some spectacular disasters with Buzz and Wave. Time will tell with this one, but it's fun to try out new things.

• Mc Donald's is hosting a McTweetup! A few local social media users got excited about the limited time  Rolo Mcflurry and started talking with McDonald's via Twitter. The end result is the get together tonight at 7pm at McDonald's, 4443 W. Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa. And the best part is that all attendees well get a free Rolo Mcflurry! • The biggie for the day is the official social media meet up at Datz Deli, 2616 S. Macdill Avenue in Tampa. Last year the meetup was huge and this year promises to be equally fine. The menu is excellent and the wine and beer selection is extensive.

So no matter how you do it, make a second annual social media day a great one exclamation have some fun and reach out with some new people and explore Westchase and Tampa!
