Celebrate Curiosity on Ask a Stupid Question Day

Have a question you want to ask but think it might be stupid? It's your day to let loose.

According to Wikepedia, Ask a Stupid Question Day was pioneered by U.S. teachers in the 1980s to encourage students to ask more questions in the classroom. (Speaking of teachers, please don't tell my graduate school professors I just quoted Wikepedia.)

Though Ask a Stupid Question Day's default date is Sept. 28, it is typically observed on the last school day in September— a win-win in 2012.

So...what's the hokey pokey really all about? Who is Jimmy and why is he cracking so much corn? Do kangaroos lie down when they sleep? What if they roll over on their joey? How many licks does it actually take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
