Authorities Search For Gas Station Robber

A local gas station is robbed, suspect still on the lam.

Authorities are asking for help in finding the person who robbed the Hess gas station at 8310 W. Waters Avenue. The crime took place last Thursday, Feb. 17 at about 8:25pm, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect, described as a white male, 22-29 years old with a thin build, can be seen in a surveillance photo. He was wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a white t-shirt over a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, according to a the sheriff's department.

The suspect walked into the store and implied he had a weapon while holding an unknown object under his shirt and demanding cash out of the register. He obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot, according to authorities.
