Free CPR And First Aid Training Coming To Tampa Bay

The classes will be offered by the American Red Cross of Tampa Bay.

On March 19, the American Red Cross Tampa Bay Chapter will offer free CPR and first aid training at several Tampa Bay locations. The training is in conjunction with Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life Saturday. Red Cross chapters across
the country will hold classes at more than 100 locations across the country to
honor Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and all those involved in the Tucson tragedy.  The 45-min to one hour training sessions will be held at  10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. It will include hands-only CPR, controlling external bleeding and managing
shock. 

In Tampa Bay the locations are as follows:

  • Manatee Village Community Center (912 Manatee Village Drive, Ruskin, FL, 33570)
  • West Tampa Convention Center (3005 W Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL, 33607)
  • The American Red Cross St. Petersburg Branch Office (818 4th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701)
